Prospecting Basics for Network Marketers

If you are a Network Marketer then definitely prospecting is one of the basic and crucial skills you must develop in order for you to succeed in building your Network of Customers/Distributors.


At the beginning,prospecting might seem a heavy task and that is because the new comer to Network Marketing still doesn't understand what prospecting is all about.


Prospecting is simply a sorting process ,which means you are searching for something and what this really means is that your looking for a certain quality or a thing that will Qualify the person to be a potential partner.


For example let's say now you are in the process of starting a company and your looking for partners to help you build the business and manage that company so what are the qualities you are looking in a person that he must posses for him to become a partner with you?Whom that you want to partner with?of course you will begin to sort out some certain qualities such as: 
commitment,passion,Willingness to learn and so on

Now let me ask this question: Does everyone you know have these qualities which you are looking for???

Of course Not! and that is good news because you won't bother letting in any not serious person to partner with you  in the business and if you want to succeed in network marketing then you must find a suitable partner to help you build a substantial passive income which will go on for years and years to come & remember in Network Marketing you are the CEO of your tracking center and prospecting means you are building your board of directors and management.

Now,how do you find that partner?there is no way you can decide from the looks on a person if he is suitable to partner with you or not .


The only way that you can find out wither the person is qualified is by talking to people any time any where,BE FRIENDLY and speak to people not out of wanting to prospect and invite to the business but to just for fun and building new friendships and who knows whom you might get to have as a friend and how much he can help you outside the borders of the business.


Asking questions as the conversation goes on to find those qualities which you are looking for you might as well start by asking him about his job and where he works and wither he is satisfied with his current job or looking for ways to increase his income and from there you can start to sense what he needs or how the business can help him improve his life cos keep in mind that the Network Marketer is a Helper of others Not a Hunter of people and Network Marketing is all about being in service of humanity because keep in mind that this opportunity you are giving to them has the potential to change their lives literally Financially,Emotionally and Socially and in many other ways which can never be stated or counted.
the next thing as the conversation goes on you and after you have inquired enough information to sense wither the person is or not qualified for your business then comes the next skills which inviting that person the business presentation and showing him the business but beware Not to rush into presenting the business too soon to people you meet for the 1st time until the relationship develops to the point where TRUST is forged so that you don't lose a qualified and potential partner.
so the steps of prospecting can be briefly stated as follows:
-start a conversation
-ask questions 
-invite & introduce the person to the opportunity
at the end keep in mind that prospecting is a skill that can only be honed through practice and the more you prospect and talk to people about your business the better your prospecting skill will become.
